Accomplishments

The LVEF mission is to create and/or support quality educational opportunities for students and teachers K-12.  LVEF continues to invest in technology and its infrastructure so that its educational funding can increase in the coming years.

The business partnerships LVEF has entered will be launched in the 4th quarter of 2012.  These programs are designed for parents of school-aged children and community members alike to financially support education without writing checks.   Contractors 4 Kids gives people the ability to “Fix their Homes to Fund Education” while Mission Tuition offers online purchases at a discount plus fund college plans for children.

These are examples of sustainable revenue that does not require people to reach into their pockets in order to maintain quality education for our students.

LVEF will bring these programs to the LVUSD PFA/Cs because we recognize the increased financial burden they face.  We expect these programs to bring much-needed funds to both the school site and district levels.

The LVEF partnership with the cities of Agoura Hills and Westlake Village has created ongoing eWaste programs that benefit our environment and our schools.

The LVEF WASC accredited Summer School program expanded in 2012, adding high schools in other public school districts in California.  This program gave over $250,000 to education in those school districts.

Funding to LVUSD included:

*Professional teacher development by sending elementary, middle, and high school teachers to the Model Schools Conference, which focuses on techniques and methods for 21st Century Learning

*The College Application & Acceptance Program (CAAP). This program is offered FREE to all LVUSD 8th-12th grade students/families.  It helps families how to find, apply to, and pay for college

*Lindero Canyon Middle School Students' Arts awards

Since 2003, LVEF has donated over $1,933,000 to support or create quality educational opportunities for LVUSD students and teachers!
